About Us |
Founded by two Youghal based artists, Amanda Hogan and Eileen McGoldrick, in 2006, the festival is entering its 2nd year. Supported by a further eight local artists and enthusiasts the committee has evolved into a strong and focused working group. The festival is aimed at promoting art in Youghal Youghal Visual Arts Festival is run on a voluntary not for profit basis. YVAF committee is made up of local artists and enthusiastic community members. Goals & ObjectivesThe Festival’s goals are: To give Youghal a new focus for its development as a heritage town. In order to attain the above goals, the Youghal Visual Arts Festival
will carry out the following The Youghal Visual Arts Festival aims to attract in excess of 3000 visitors to the town over the week. By using a nationwide advertising scheme and by encouraging local hotels to give special festival rates. |
